About This Route

A linear route along the old railway line that is mainly hard-surfaced; an enjoyable route designed for multi-use. The Tweed Valley Railway Path was opened in 2013 and includes an attractive new bridge east of Cardrona. This railway line closed to the public in 1969 along with all railway links in the Borders.
