Selkirk Riverside - Ettrick Water
About This Route
Selkirk is an old mill town in the central Borders, the old town is built on the high part of this Royal Burgh and the mills, naturally, were built down by the Ettrick Water where approximately 200 businesses operate at the present time. The riverside has even more easy access paths to follow after the creation of the Selkirk Flood Protection Scheme and public artworks have also been installed. Victoria Park sits by the swimming pool and you can explore the old mill buildings from the outside and the one preserved chimney.
