Riverside Walk and Hartrigge
About This Route
This is a leisurely route along the banks of Jed Water following a country road for a short distance it then follows the old drive of Hartrigge Estate back into town. You cross over Canongate Bridge a particularly attractive 16th century structure consisting of three spans and cut water shaped wedges on the piers. The mix of old town, farmland and riverside makes this an interesting short route.
