The Two Bridges
About This Route
This circular route crosses the River Tweed over the iconic Rennies Bridge and the modern Hunter’s Bridge; you will also pass by Kelso Abbey so worth taking some time to look around these magnificent ruins. Rennie’s Bridge, that you go over, was designed by John Rennie, a smaller version of Waterloo Bridge in London. The present bridge was built from 1800-1803.
