The Haining Loch and Woodlands

About This Route

A beautiful resource for locals and visitors alike, The Haining was gifted to the people of Selkirkshire by its last owner and provides a popular loch walk with stunning views to the elegant Haining House. There has been a house at the Haining since the 1400’s but the present house owes its elegance to Italy. In the early 1800’s the current owner had the simple Georgian house transformed into a Roman villa.
