About This Route

Lying west of Selkirk is the stunning scenery along the Yarrow Valley, the road that takes you to the old market town of Moffat by the M74. There is a grassy parking area by Loch o’ the Lowes with public toilets, a café and an information board. Although there are no paths the scenery alone offers the visitor ample enjoyable experience of the countryside. The Megget Reservoir lies on the Tweedsmuir road by St. Mary’s Loch where Scottish Water have included parking areas with information boards for your enjoyment.
