A circular route from the town up to Heip Hill giving views over the town. The longer route, south-west of the town, also follows the River Teviot and includes a climb up Heip Hill.

The River Teviot rises in the foothills of Comb Hill on the border with Dumfries and Galloway; it joins the River Tweed to the southwest of Kelso. Up at Wiltonburn you will be on the Roman and Reivers Route and the Cross Borders Drove Road for a short distance.
